Art is a fun and interactive element of The Tuttle School curriculum. Activities include strategies that develop students' individuality along with enhancing multi-sensory skills.

Art
At the Tuttle School, our artists use a variety of techniques and mediums to keep learning fun. Students enjoy painting (watercolor, tempera, acrylic), drawing (using crayons, markers, colored pencils, chalk, oil pastels), and various types of clay.

Students learn about art elements, principles, cultures, artists, history, and styles through a multi-sensory and meaningful experience.
The class focuses on the individual student’s ability, effort, and personal expression.
Students are taught the elements of art: line, shape, form, color, space, composition, and texture.

Music
Tuttle students participate in music instruction to encourage appropriate speech and language, reinforce social interactive skills, and support integrated body movements.

The years that our daughter attended The Tuttle School prepared her well for life after school. She learned to work hard and to persist when frustrated. She also has continued friendships that started during her time at Tuttle. Alexa truly has a good life now because of the wonderful faculty and staff at The Tuttle School!
