Fine Arts

Art is a fun and interactive element of The Tuttle School education. Activities include strategies that develop students' individuality along with enhancing multi-sensory skills.

Art
At the Tuttle School, our artists use a variety of techniques and mediums to keep learning fun. On any given day, art teachers employ painting (watercolor, tempera, acrylic), drawing (using crayons, markers, colored pencils, chalk, oil pastels), and various types of clay. There’s never a dull day in art!
Students learn about art elements and principles, cultures, artists, history, and styles through a multi-sensory and meaningful experience. The class focuses on the individual student’s ability, effort, and personal expression. Students are taught the elements of art, line, shape, form, color, space, composition and texture.
Music
Tuttle School students participate in music instruction to encourage appropriate speech and language, reinforce social interactive skills, and to support integrated body movements.
Each Tuttle School student participates in music to encourage appropriate speech and language, reinforce social interactive skills, and to support integrated body movements. Students also perform two musical productions per year
